I have to re-post since my first attempt had failed for this query.

Hello!

I am using .mts (ACVHD) files as source
(and used ffmpeg to encode DnxHD proxy files). At first
I had my project set with RGBa colour model and playback
 video driver X11-openGL.

I noticed that certain effects like the title don't render the same
colour as when they were viewed in the compositor. And its different
still when viewing a single frame in the compositor.

Also, I can't succeed viewing or rendering all video
transitions except for flash, while wipe and dissolve worked
very badly (not smooth at all). Furthurmore they worked only
for one clip each but was not reproduced with other clips.

Changing to X11-XV or the open GL driver didn't make
a difference. I tried transitions for a duration between
2 -4 seconds. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I have been able to use transitions in my past project some
time ago and I beleive that the settings and clips were similar.

Just recently I switched the project settings to RGBa
float colour space to see if it helped. It seemed to
be useful for colour balance or hue effects. Once I rendered
the clips again to uncompressed RGBa, I could NOT view single
frames of my clips in the compositor. It only worked if
 using regular forward.

So I changed the project back to RGBa 8bits. I have the
preferences for playback set to NOT play every frame and
switched to bilinear enlarge and bilinear reduce.

In the meantime I will try alternatives to the preset
transitions; clips slightly overlaying each other instead
of one after the other on the time line.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
