We've been using Lantronix for a while now. Thus far I'm pretty happy with their new EDS8 series. There is no integrated modem however. We also have a bunch of their SCS400's deployed with a pcmcia modem. Those have been EOLed and replaced by the EDS4100, but we haven't changed over to those yet. They have plenty of features but we use the the serial port logging & direct telnet/ssh to the serial ports. If you use any of the models that have RJ45 serial connectors you can use crossover usoc cables to make a direct link between your serial server & cisco gear (at least with lantronix), no messing with console cables. links: http://www.lantronix.com/device-networking/external-device-servers/eds16 pr_eds32pr.html http://www.lantronix.com/device-networking/external-device-servers/eds41 00.html http://www.blackbox.com/Catalog/Detail.aspx?cid=244,1309,1319&mid=2244 // nick _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
