1. If you are going to terminate a DS3 for a point to point connection running frame relay, HDLC, or PPP, you will want a PA-T3 or PA-2T3 or a more modern version such as a PA-T3+ or PA-2T3+. 2. If you are terminating a DS3 to break it down into channelized T1 circuits, then you will want a PA-MC-T3 or PA-MC-T3+ or a PA-MC-2T3+ 3. If you are using this for ATM then you will want a PA-A3-T3 or PA-A6-T3 (the newer version) If you are using a DS3 to connect the 7200 and 2800 via a point-to-point DS3 from the phone company, then option 1 above will likely be the correct choice for you. >Please can anyone comment of this, also would appreciate any >suggestion on the cables to be used to connect to these cards and to >the supplier's termination equipment. You will need two 75 ohm cables with BNC connectors. You may also need attenuators for the RX side of your card since many Cisco cards have problems with overdriving the receive circuitry. These can be found online and many sources have been given in the past which should easy to find in the list archives. -Robert Tellurian Networks - Global Hosting Solutions Since 1995 http://www.tellurian.com | 888-TELLURIAN | 973-300-9211 "Well done is better than well said." - Benjamin Franklin _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
