Do you have a live interface in vlan 630? A port on the switch configured as vlan 630 that is up and up.

I am trying to add vlan 630 into FWSM. The version I am using is 3.1(5), and following shows what I have configured: On switch: swp01#sh fir mod Module Vlan-groups ------ ----------- 04 1,2,4,51 05 2,3,5 swp01#sh fir vlan-g 3 Group Created by vlans ----- ---------- ----- 3 FWSM 507,510,520,530,540,610,620,630,640,650,800 On FWSM: fwp02p# sh run int vlan630 ! interface Vlan630 nameif Auth security-level 85 ip address 209.114.69.129 255.255.255.224 standby 209.114.69.130 fwp02p# But the interface is always down&down even I did "no sh": fwp02p# sh int vlan630 Interface Vlan630 "Auth", is down, line protocol is down Hardware is EtherSVI MAC address 0019.06ed.9600, MTU 1500 IP address 209.114.69.129, subnet mask 255.255.255.224 Traffic Statistics for "Auth": 0 packets input, 0 bytes 0 packets output, 0 bytes 0 packets dropped So I run "sh ip address", unlike other interface, Vlan630 is shown as "manual", any idea what caused this? System IP Addresses: Interface Name IP address Subnet mask Method 209.114.64.1 255.255.255.0 CONFIG Vlan610 Mon_GR x.114.68.1 255.255.255.128 CONFIG Vlan620 Mon_BR x.114.68.129 255.255.255.128 CONFIG Vlan630 Auth x.114.69.129 255.255.255.224 manual Thanks in anticipation, Joann ________________________________________________________________________ ____________ Get the Yahoo! toolbar and be alerted to new email wherever you're surfing. http://new.toolbar.yahoo.com/toolbar/features/mail/index.php _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/ _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
