-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
For some reason we are receiving bad checksum messages from a couple of our remote sites. There hasn't been any configuration or hardware changes on these devices that we know of. The area range and network summarization looks good for these sites. Our hub site has other sites hanging off the interface so we know its not the receiving router's interface. What we haven't done so far, 1. change the cable 2. use different port 3. debug ip ospf for packet analysis. I want to know if any of you has experienced this kind of problem as we cannot find nice explanation as to why this is happening. Any further insight will be appreciated. site-a#show ver | incl IOS IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-JS-M), Version 12.2(19a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) Sep 4 00:29:06.970: %OSPF-4-ERRRCV: Received invalid packet: Bad Checksum from x.x.x.x, Serial0/0.1 Sep 4 02:12:16.265: %OSPF-4-ERRRCV: Received invalid packet: Bad Checksum from x.x.x.x, Serial0/0.1 Sep 4 11:18:44.009: %OSPF-4-ERRRCV: Received invalid packet: Bad Checksum from x.x.x.x, Serial0/0.1 Sep 4 12:29:07.951: %OSPF-4-ERRRCV: Received invalid packet: Bad Checksum from x.x.x.x, Serial0/0.1 site-b#sh ver | incl IOS IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-JS-M), Version 12.2(16a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) Sep 4 11:31:22.368: %OSPF-4-ERRRCV: Received invalid packet: Bad Checksum from x.x.x.x, Serial0/0.1 Sep 4 11:55:46.006: %OSPF-4-ERRRCV: Received invalid packet: Bad Checksum from x.x.x.x, Serial0/0.1 Sep 4 12:40:33.028: %OSPF-4-ERRRCV: Received invalid packet: Bad Checksum from x.x.x.x, Serial0/0.1 Sep 4 13:54:29.354: %OSPF-4-ERRRCV: Received invalid packet: Bad Checksum from x.x.x.x, Serial0/0.1 hub-site#show ver | incl IOS IOS (tm) 7200 Software (C7200-JK9S-M), Version 12.3(20), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) regards, /virendra -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFG3dMopbZvCIJx1bcRAg7cAKDKPyNTulyKt4JmAeG4WQmyYlMq/ACfSYLA lp9b+SgsPNvcyyHOSnZPzdM= =I8H8 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
