-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
This has happened twice in a row when we configured port-channels on our core switches (C6509). We saw RP utilization jump to almost 90% and at one point it hit 100% causing our network to flap. We are able to calm it down by shutting the port-channel but we are still scratching our heads as to what could have caused this spike. We've found this to be spurious and we were unable to track down what was spiking the cpu. The error message decoder off CCO is stating that this message is informational and that no action is required <head scratching>? core-1# Sep 16 00:43: %CONST_DIAG-SP-6-HM_MESSAGE: High traffic/CPU util seen on Module 6 [SP=16%,RP=86%,Traffic=0%] 6 2 Supervisor Engine 720 (Active) WS-SUP720-BASE 6 000d.xxxx.xxxx to 000d.xxxx.xxxx 3.0 7.7(1) 12.2(17a)SX1 Ok 6 Policy Feature Card 3 WS-F6K-PFC3A hw 2.0 Ok core-1#sh ver | incl IOS IOS (tm) s72033_rp Software (s72033_rp-PSV-M), Version 12.2(17a)SX1, EARLY DEPLOYMENT RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) Any pointers will be appreciated. regards, /virendra -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFG7X+IpbZvCIJx1bcRAlC7AKDKbHu9WY9DrFG25Mk0f61o6WykjQCgnbOX kNYOtzqXSZWCQRkyEW6TU54= =H9v0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
