For the record "speed nonegotiate" got the link going. Cheers Dan.

I have some fibre connections (non Cisco remote endpoints - not yet
sure of the brands) to an old WS-C4908G-L3 using GBICs that I would
like to move on to a new Cisco 3750-G using SFPs. I have been unable
to get any links to come up on the new Cisco 3750. The existing
WS-C4908G-L3 interface configuration uses "no negotiate auto" which
as far as I can find allows compatibility with pre Gigiabit standard
devices.

The "no negotiate auto" command doesn't seem to be available on the
3750. Can some tell me if there a similar command for the 3750s or
will the remote end need an upgrade or replacement?
Thanks
Ivan
