I can tell you I have NVGEN caching enabled on 12.2SXH2a on SUP720

router(config)#parser config ?
  cache Cache the configuration

It is a bit dangerous. I have seen invalid runing config output
while parser cache enabled on RSP720 under SRC. It is really
hard to troubleshote such problem. I spend a lot of time...
Then just turn cache off and don't touch the TAC.

AFAIR, issue related to channel members auto-configuration
while configure PAgP parent interface. Or something similar
around missing cache invalidation.

Isn't it turned on by default in relatively new IOS releases? I think it was added back in 12.3T sometime. It's on by default on my Sup720s running SRB1. I've never run SX so I don't know when it would have been added there.
