To be fair, it's a different architecture - so an apple-to-apple comparison isn't really possible. One should compare the entry-level M-series to Cisco's ASR1000 series, or the 7200's to Juniper's J-series. Granted, Cisco have finally started playing ball in this hardware forwarding scope for this class of routers (as have Juniper in the software forwarding arena), so no operator can be blamed for past comparisons.
