I'm having problems getting eigrp to talk over an mpls l2 link between two cpe devices.
cpe -- 3550 -- 7206 -- 7206 -- 3560 -- cpe cpe - 3550: access port on 3550 3550 - 7206: trunked port on vlan 100 7206 - 7206: mpls l2 xconnect 7206 - 3560: trunked port on vlan 100 3560 - cpe: access port on 3560 I'm connecting two sites via pseudowires. A configuration similar to the following is on each 7206: mpls export interval 5 mpls ldp loop-detection mpls label protocol ldp pseudowire-class ATOM-E encapsulation mpls interworking ethernet ! interface FastEthernet4/0.100 description MPLS ATOM Site 1 encapsulation dot1Q 100 xconnect x.x.x.x 100 pw-class ATOM-E ! The link has been working fine and is working fine for regular udp and tcp traffic. The desire now is to run EIGRP over this link. When configuring each end for EIGRP with a /30 interface, hellos are getting dropped. For EIGRP, I believe hellos are multicast, which I think is the key issue. The hellos appear to be dropped before reaching the other end. Is there additional configuration required to get eigrp hellos across the link, or will it just not work, or is it supposed to 'just work'?
