Hi,
I plan on mentioning this to a few contacts. I don't think much will come
of it what with the blind community being such a small subset of the market
(far below the noise levels) but it can't hurt. It just surprises me that a
company would show such lack of concern for their products and supporting
content. There are many on this list who manage very large networks and
you'd think their vendor would listen to their complaints. Might be wishful
thinking though. I wonder if anyone besides sales and marketing droids
actually finds the new download center better let alone usable?
Thanks
Scott

You really need to communicate this to GSA and perhaps DoJ. Many web
developers do not take these issues into account, it's sad to continue to
see the same regression of website access. I would love to see a way to
access the downloads that does not require javascript (it can require
cookies or HTTP Auth).

Hi,
To add more to the comments against the new download management
system, the download screens are totally inaccessible to users that
require a screen reader. You can get as far as selecting the software
to download, accepting the far to many terms and conditions and then
once you select download now a java based page seems to open that is
written in such a way that both JFW and Window-Eyes can't make out any
usable controls. Clearly Cisco is losing interest in providing products
and services to the US Government among others since new components on
their web pages as well as new UI elements on devices like the ASA are
not in step with accessibility requirements. I can say that Vendors F
and J don't have nearly the accessibility issues of Cisco lately so at
least the company I work for will be buying new products from someone
else than Cisco from now on until this is addressed.
All that aside, does anyone have a non Cisco pointer or back way in to
Cisco's site that I can use to download the latest V5.X windows XP VPN
client? Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks
Scott
