We do a few monitors of this kind with cacti server using this template that works with a perl script http://forums.cacti.net/about5107.html
It uses an snmp write community on the router and tells it to ping another remote device, the results are saved in RRD and you can make a graph out of it. Hope this helps, Ziv -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mohammad Khalil Sent: Thursday, October 01, 2009 9:26 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [c-nsp] Graph packet loss , delay , BER hey all i want to be able to graph the packet loss between 2 routers or even between a router and a remote site as well as BER or delay , can i do that ? what is the best method to calculate this ? _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live(tm): Keep your life in sync.
