We have a Cisco 6506 switch that has 2 SUP2's and 2 other line cards installed. Tonight, the 2 line cards failed and were shutdown by the switch. Pulled the cards, reseated them, and they came back up. Decided to power off the unit completely just to be sure everything was reset and good to go. Came back up, but some modules failed to start on the first attempt, even the backup SUP2 needed 2 tries to come up. Eventually everything came back, and we are back up and running. Does this point to a faulty backplane and i should replace the chassis, or could it be something else?
