I have a FDDI hand off.
I use a Cisco Catalyst 5500 for this purpose (and to translationally bridge
from FDDI to Gigabit Ethernet).
The cheap solution, back in the day, was to use a 3Com CoreBuilder 2500.
We had Fore PowerHubs for this. They had 6x FE, 2x FDDI and other
cards and even did (do) OSPF :) Still got one around but unprovisioned
10 years ago or so.
