Hello Cisco gurus, I am a noob at configuring ATM on a Cisco router, and I could use some advice. I am setting up a DSL CLEC simulation lab: I've got a DSLAM that takes DS3/ATM input (simulating the CLEC), and I've got a C3640 router simulating the ISP. I've got a DS3/ATM module for this router (NM-1A-T3), and having got it physically installed and supported by IOS:
IOS (tm) 3600 Software (C3640-IS-M), Version 12.2(19a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) I now have "interface ATM2/0" in my "show running-config" output. But I still have a steep learning curve ahead of me when it comes to configuring this ATM interface to serve out PVCs which are to be turned into xDSL subscriber loops by the DSLAM. Given that there are a lot of ISPs out there which offer xDSL services by way of partnering with a CLEC like Covad and cross-connecting at the ATM layer, I can only assume that there are folks out there who have routers set up doing just what I want. It would really help steer my Cisco ATM learning process in the right direction if I could see a complete config for a router feeding ATM into some xDSL middle-mile network - would anyone perhaps be willing to share such a complete config, modulo obvious privary redactions / trimming anything irrelevant? TIA a lot, MS _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
