Maybe I have I have a defective board, but you would think it would kick some nasty errors or something if that was the case. I have a Cat6509 switch with a pair of Sup720-3BXL's installed, and I have installed a WS-X6582-2PA Enhanced FlexWAN controller with a PA-2T3+ card in one slot, and a PA-MC-8T1 card in the other slot. Seemed simple enough, added my configs, wrote the configs to memory and life should have been fine. As I was trying to get this ready to put into production, I had done a reload at some point, and realized when it came back up, sure enough all configs were intact except for the flexwan.
So I added them back in, saved them, did a show conf and show run, and all was good, channel groups were good, interface configs were in. As that point I did another reload, and let it boot, after that, I checked my startup-config and there were the configs for the flexwan, but in the running-config it showed the card like it was just fresh installed. So if I put in a config life is good, but if I reboot, it doesn't load them back up from the startup configs. I took a look at the buffer log, and see this on the switch: *Jul 10 08:04:38.903: %CWAN_RP-4-MODULE_CONFIG_MISSING: configuration not available/not matching in startup-config for slot 9 So I looked it up, and on Cisco's site it just says I need to make sure I write the config out to startup-config, and well I did, but I can't find anything else with my google fu on this, am I missing something with using a FlexWan?? Any ideas, do I have a defective board or something?
