Hi cisco-nsp,

Does anyone have an elegant solution for backing up multiple context
ASA, including the system context? I've considered the following;

* Kiwi Cat tools - It works well and allows you to send
arbitrary commands, which is great for switching contexts etc. But I
don't like that you seem to need to have a user logged into the backup
machine with the application running in the foreground

* Rancid - Works ok as long as you can connect directly to the
context by IP (which isn't always possible in my case) and you can't get
to the system context this way

* Downloading the context configuration files via https - I
really like this because it's so simple, but I can't see a file in flash
that relates to the system context. Am I missing something here?

* A homebrew expect script that logs in, navigates the contexts
and captures the output of show run

I'm sure this must have been solved a thousand times, but I'm yet to
find an adequate solution, and it's increasingly looking like I'm going
to have to come up with something myself.

Thanks,

Paul
