Last time i checked, you had to buy packs of 8k.

Probably there will be new packs (Nx8k) after a while, like in asr1k.

Hello Claes

I also thought so, but i am unable to find any official document stating
this fact for ASR 9000 series. All i can found is this following link
which says that BNG feature on ASR can be enabled with A9K-BNG-LIC-8K
licence
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/prod/collateral/routers/ps9853/product_bulletin_c25-708768.html

However for ASR 1000 Series .. There is a official document which has all
licences listed starting from 8k upto 64k
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps9343/product_bulletin_c07-448862.html#wp9002435

Can someone please confirm how exactly this thing works for ASR 9000 ???

AFIK, you buy the licenses in packs of 8k. And also if understand Cisco
right 1 IP = 1 user/license.

Dear friends,

I need some clarification regarding running of broadband services on Cisco
ASR 9006 router.

As i understand ASR 9K can support maximum of 64k subscribers (although i
don't see it any official datasheets, ASR 1K datasheet do mention limit of
64k).

Document says that i need A9K-BNG-LIC-8K licence to enable broadband
features on ASR 9K and that's the only broadband licence listed in the
documents. Now can someone tell me do i need to buy 8 of these
licences
from Cisco to support maximum of 64k users??? or just one of this licence
is
just required to enable Broadband services and i can than use it for any
numbers of subscribers??

Please clarify.
