Hi,

Cisco docs confuse me...

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/mpls/configuration/guide/mp_static_labels_ps6922_TSD_Products_Configuration_Guide_Chapter.html

... claims that static label crossconnects should be supported in
12.2(33)SXH and up.

My router seems to be of a different opinion...

Cisco-M-LAB#sh mpls static ?
  binding Show static label bindings

Cisco-M-LAB#sh mpls static

this is with 12.2(33)SXI5, while it *should* look like that (12.4):

Cisco-M-XII#sh mpls static ?
  binding Show static label bindings
  crossconnect Show static label crossconnects

are the docs wrong? Do I need some extra magic to turn it on (static
mpls label range has been configured + reboot done, even though the
12.4 box does not seem to need it)?

If you ask for the reason why I want this: there was a very nice talk
at the RIPE meeting last week about using static labels to do network
monitoring, including links that are not in service right now (backup
paths, newly added stuff) by forcing certain paths. One of the option
is "lots of static RSVP tunnels", the other is "a few static labels on
each router [one for each possible egress] plus lots of brains and in
the management system" - and I decided I like the second approach more.
