It seems the > MTBF is inversely proportional to the price :( Upgrade cycles tend to flush out latent faults in the linecards. When doing upgrades it is best to have spare cards on hand to handle those that fail. The failure rate on the M1 cards has gotten a lot better over the last two years. Gone are the days of 20% of the cards being DOA.
