Tim,

I am using these in a few different ways:
1:As one link of VSS 6509e sets (other is Cx4 cable)
2:As connections within the data center (Copper SFP+ to nearby 3750e
switches)
3: Optical to some HP blade enclosures (with SFP+SR Modules)

Everything else I use X2 modules (optical and CX4 copper).

I can tell you that at least one SFP+ (LRM, I think) takes a fairly new
version of code to operate. Also make sure you have at least V2 of
everything (one-x, SFP+ copper cable, etc). Last summer I ordered a number
of these for a build and ran into links that were either intermittent, or
just would never come up. Cisco ended up sending me a 1 for 1 replacement
of every piece and did not want the old ones back. A few make for good
decorations in the cube, but the rest had a date with the trashcan.

Jeff

According to:

is
supported on the 6500. Anyone using these in production? I only see
reference to CU and SR SFP+ transceivers. Is that true?
