I guess the problem is that good courses are expensive to create and only the vendors have the commitment. Our network is mostly HP and Cisco and taking the Cisco courses/certifications has greatly helped our staff. The first-level Cisco (CCNA) covers all the things that one would need to troubleshoot HP, especially since the syntax is quite similar between the two brands.
