Since upgrading to 15.3(3)S2, a bunch of me3600s have sprouted the

snmp-server context vlan-1234
snmp-server context vlan-2345

snmp-server context vlan-N

Documentation on these seems a bit sparse. Anyone have any ideas what
they're all about?

Many moons ago, it used to be common for various MIBs which lacked vlan awareness to be available in multiple versions, accessed by suffixing the SNMP community string with a context e.g.

snmpwalk -c public@vlan-1234 host dot1dStp

I've seen similar things with MIBs that lack MPLS/VRF-awareness.

IIRC there's a an SNMP mib which lists the contexts itself, but I can't find a box with it populated right now.

Annoying that the context defn' clutter up the box config though; it's not like IOS needs *more* thousands of lines of defaults!
