Ok, so what I understood now is: - ASR920 is lighter version of ASR900 in terms of ASIC/TCAM and buffers - ASR920 and ASR900 have same control-plane, same features - NCS5000 is basically even more light, less features and less FIB space, just more bandwidth and IOX
anything else to consider? thx guys On Mon, Nov 28, 2016 at 5:29 PM, Daniel Serane <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi list, > > I need a replacement for our ME3600Xs and I know that ASR920 is the next > generation of the ME3600. > > Now with the NCS5000 I'am wondering now how it competes with the ASR920. > It has 1/10G and four 100G ports, thats some difference, but beyond that, > mainly feature-wise (IOX vs XE) what can I expect from both? > > thanks for help > Daniel > _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
