For calls inbound to FXO ports, you would need to configure connection plar.

just wondering if anyone has any comments with respect to the quality of
service delivered by local and long distance service providers when requesting
quotes, etc.
i'd like to put something in to the effect of:
"Services must be of "toll quality" regardless of the time of day or transport
method selected by the service provider. Toll quality service is defined as a
receiving an Mean Opinion Score (MOS) of 4.0 or greater. "
thoughts?

Hello,
we plan to migrate our productive CUCM 8.5.1 publisher running on a cisco
labeled IBM server to VMware 5.0 environment running on a spec cisco UCS system.
We have two subs (7825I) plus the publisher in the cluster. We heavily use
extension mobility with active directory integration.
We plan the migration for the next weekend. Our plan is so far:
- Backup all maschines
- Taking down pub + 1 sub
- Build a new publisher in a vm prepared with the right ova template. Same IP
etc...
- restore settings and files with drs
- rehost the license file from old license mac to the new one.
- after some checks - boot up the sub
- check db synchronisation
- done
Do we miss something ? Do we have to take care of the logged in extension
mobility user ? Will they still be logged in after a restore ?
Any hints appreciated...
Thank you
Michael

Hi All,
We have unity connection 8.5 currently integrated in exchange 2007 and
is working.
We however plan to migrate users on Exchange 2010 one by one and will
do it on parallel.
Emails are working when sending 2007 to 2010 and vice versa however we
couldn't have the single inbox functionality work.
The Unified Messaging Service ->Exchange Server is pointed to
exchange 2007. Single inbox worked.

Any suggestion how we could have the two servers work in parallel to
each other and have the single inbox functioning?
Anyone had done this before?

Trying to create a separate New Unified Messaging Service and migrate
each user one by one on unity. Hope it works. But if any better
options, i would appreciate it.

Hi All,
I'm trying to bulk update 200+ users to remove both the Groups within the
Permission information on the End User Configuration page, Currently assigned
with Standard End User and Standard CTI enabled.
I have tried lots of CSV formats to do had no luck. All updates fail saying
User Group : does not exist. and the user still has both groups assigned.
USER ID
USER GROUP 1
USER_1
< None >
USER_1
<None>
USER_1
< none >
USER_1
<none>
USER_1
#
USER_1
F
USER_1
f
USER_1
I created a Dummy Group with no roles to try and replace the one of the groups
but it just adds this group permission so then shows up with 3 groups, The
template I import then on has user group set to < None >.
Completely deleting the user and adding them back in is not a option as we are
LDAP sync'd
All I can find in the document is the ignore field using a special character
but wont help in this particular scenario.

I went through this last summer. A new Unified Messaging Service is the only
thing that worked for me. You don't have to move each user one by one though,
you can use bulk administration. You can import the new UM service as you
migrate users. You will have to delete their old UM Service before you can
create new one though.

anyone aware of any multi-line analog auto-attendant boxes that are available?
looks like we're out of luck with our AIM modules in two 3845s and I'm looking
at options to hold us over for a while after we upgrade to CUCM v9.
i've seen the viking one, but it's one port only and doesn't look like it can
transfer calls.

Hi,
I'm trying to get a Jabber demo setup, and it is diving me nuts.
Playing with Jabber 9.1.3 (under w7), and UCM/IM 9.1. Presence is fine,
desktop control is fine, but softphone is no go.
It seems I need a magic spell :)
Any known caviats I may be missing ?
What is the control protocol that Jabber tries to use ? CSF device shows
as SIP but I don't see any SIP activity :(
Advice, help, anything is welcome...
TIA,

If your exchange auto discover is working correctly, it should be able to just
figure out what server it needs to talk to depending on the users mailbox.

Can anyone point me to the basic AA tcl script I can use with SRST? I'm going
to try and evaluate it as a possible short term alternative to this CUE module
mess we're in.
Thanks, Lelio

There are two things that immediately jump out at me that are going to give you
ITL headaches.
1. You need to get the fix for CSCtn50405 before you move to vm.
2. You need to install the sub in VM before you do the DRS restore or its
certificates will not be restored and phones won't trust it.
