I had this issue before and I can't find my notes on it.
In CER when I click on Cisco Unified Communications Managers
List<https://10.2.146.60:8443/ceradmin/servlet/CERAdminServlet#> I
see no results. I thought I followed the install and config document
exactly.
Any help is much appreciated!

Hi everyone,
I have a user which doesn't have a voicemail, the extension does not exist on
Unity Connection, and the voice mail profile is set to "No voicemail" in UCM,
but the MWI is on. We checked in Alternate extensions, but no one seems to use
that extension.
Can someone help me with CUDLI or anything else, I think I might be able to
look into maybe some notifications that another user might have put in the
wrong extension, but I really don't know which table to look into.
Thanks for your help.
Sandy.

I'd use the "User Data Dump" tool, check everything, then search for the
extension in the output.
Actually, before that, if you haven't already tried this, I'd dial the MWI off
extension, and see if the MWI comes back on after your MWI refresh operation.

Hi Sandy,
Alternate extensions are not used for MWI. There's a special section for
MWI extensions. By default the MWI extension is inherited from the primary
extension, but you can over ride it, or create new ones.
Did you see that you can perform a search in CUDLI?

You should be able to just perform a search for your interesting phone
number, and withing a few minutes (hopefully seconds), you should see all
matches.

It's possible that the user accidentally dialed the MWI on number (if you are
using them). They have to be dial-able from the phone for MWI to work. You
could just dial the MWI Off extension to turn it off.

Oups, too late! I ran the search, It gave me 3 matches and went through their

The MWI?s aren?t reachable by the phones, we had to change the CSS of the phone

Will try with User data dump.

Searching for Data
Selecting the File | ?Find value in current DB tables? option allows you to
enter any string and it will search every column on every row in every table in
the currently loaded database for either a full or partial string match based
on what you enter. As matches are found that table and row are loaded for you
to view and you can select to continue searching from that point or stopping.

Sandy,
Maybe someone is pulling a prank on that user?
Are your MWI ON and OFF numbers reachable through that phone?s CSS (or any
other phones)?

I found the numbers in the results, but didn?t found anything in their config
on Unity connection. Say it gave me ext 2000, 3000 and 4000. When I looked into
those 3 users, I didn?t see any alternate extensions or anything relating to
the extension who?s having the issue.

I just ran this in my lab. The SQL query is as follows:
select vw_subscriber.Alias, vw_notificationmwi.mwiextension from
vw_subscriber left join vw_notificationmwi on vw_subscriber.ObjectId =
vw_notificationmwi.SubscriberObjectId where vw_notificationmwi.mwiextension
= '+16125551212'
or if you want a partial search and match:
select vw_subscriber.Alias, vw_notificationmwi.mwiextension from
vw_subscriber left join vw_notificationmwi on vw_subscriber.ObjectId =
vw_notificationmwi.SubscriberObjectId where vw_notificationmwi.mwiextension
like '%5551212%'
The results will be a two column table containing the subscriber alias and
the matched MWI extension.

Check that the CUCM you have pointed to in CER under Phone Tracking > Cisco
Unified Communications Manager has the Cisco CallManager (CCM) service running.
If you are pointed towards a publisher and CCM is not running point to a
server that is running CCM. Additionally double check that the SNMP community
string is configured on each CUCM server from the serviceability page since
this setting is NOT replicated or automatically applied to all servers. Lastly
make sure that the Cisco CallManager SNMP Service and SNMP Master Agent are
running on CUCM.

I figured it out. You have to create a CVP App that utilizes the global
variable from ICM as VXML Session Data. Once the Session Data is in CVP, I
set a decision that directs the caller to one of two menus, based on the
current status of the call center (Closed or Open). CVP then plays a
message to the caller, "The call center is currently closed. Please press 1
to open the call center". The caller presses 1 and then hits the CVP Sub
Dialogue Return element. In the CVP Sub Dialogue Return element, I have
configured the 'Caller Input' with a custom '*variable': *CloseCallCtr.
When the call gets back to ICM, it comes out of the 'True' leg on the
'ToExt.VRU' Node and hits an IF Node. The IF Node is configured with the
following: Call.user.microapp.caller_input=="CloseCallCtr".
Let me know if anyone needs help with this. Big thanks to Janine Graves
who helped me with this.
Sincerely,
Ryan Burtch

Subject: [cisco-voip] SX20 Telepresence software upgrade

Afternoon all,
I am trying to upgrade some SX20 devices on our 8.6.2 cucm cluster from version
TC5.1.5 to TC6.1.1 but am encountering difficulties. I have installed the new
software on all cucm nodes and hard reset/factory reset the SX20's to try and
get them to upgrade but they don't pick up the new default software image.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? And if so what do you need to do?
On a side note I realise you need to update the release key for the device when
you upgrade and have this covered.
Kind regards
James

Hi James,
Have you started TFTP on the TFTP server? That would be required after a cop
file install or manual file upload to the TFTP directory.
Also, check the device defaults for the SX20 and see if there is a version
specified, if not, specify one. A COP file installation should have done this
for you, but a manual upload would not. Also, make sure that a firmware load is
NOT defined on the device's page itself (ccmadmin) as this will override the
device default page.
That is my normal list of things to check/do for phones that aren't upgrading
as expected.
