Ok,
In that case I don't think it works natively in any version of callmanager.

I've tried it on an 8.5.1.12900-7 and that just replies with "No Records Match" regardless of the
characters entered (either prefixed or prepended with a * or #).

There is nothing that leaps out in the system or enterprise parameters that would help either.

This suggests using a the Corporate Directory SDK which I’ve done in the past running on IIS/2008R2.

His question is about where is the change from 8.5 to 9.1 documented and can you put it back to old way.

George,
From a google search

haven't had chance to test it though.

    Guys,

Any ideas about this? Would appreciate input/ideas of why it
seems different between CUCM 8.5 and 9.1 on the directory search
    on the phone.

    Thanks,

    Hey Guys,

Where is the setting to allow wildcard matches for searching the
directory on the phone? We’re LDAP integrated, and when I search
for someone by DN, I have to enter the number starting with first
digits of the user’s number or it doesn’t match. For example, if
I search for someone with the number 702-852-0123 and I only enter
0123 in the phone, nothing matches. But if I enter 702852, it and
any other number that starts that way also matches. I know this
sounds crazy, but some users are asking about it. Apparently, this
previously worked on the old CUCM 8.5 cluster, and doesn’t work on
    the new CUCM 9.1 cluster.

    Thanks,

    Bill
