Even on newer phones you can hide it with transformations, but the second you 
hit hold, it will shot the full numbers, so my guessing is.. it can’t be done.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Hide Number Translation on Screen

Is there a way to not show the number translations on the 7940/7960 series?  
For instance, a 4 digit extension that translates to 95551212.  Can we just not 
show that we are grabbing an outbound line and dialing direct?  trivial, but 
for one customer, it drives him batty...
