Ok. So, according to the following, it looks like there’s an XML entry I can
update. I’m gonna try it out on our dev cluster.

The question I have is, what happens when you include data in an XML file that
_everyone_ uses, for a version that is only being used by a few? In this case,
the selfcareURL xml is available in Jabber v11, but what if not.

The other question I have is that I don’t remember seeing this option in Jabber
v11. I’m wondering if that’s because we were on CUCM v9? Gonna test installing
Jabber v11 to see if it is there.

selfcareURL

Applies to Cisco Jabber desktop clients.

Specifies the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of Cisco Unified
Communications Manager service.

Defines the URL for the Self Care Portal when no default service profile is
selected in Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

Example:
<selfcareURL>http://server_name/selfcareURL</selfcareURL<http://server_name/selfcareURL%3c/selfcareURL>>

Interestingly enough I don’t see anything. But what I do see is a “self care
portal” button that doesn’t work. Grrrr. I hope I can modify that.

They probably changed it in the last drop due to complaints. It's still there
in the Options menu as the last tab. Basically, the options menu would launch
to that tab right after upgrade.

Nope. Still nothing. I reset. Nothing. I uninstalled and deleted appdata

I’ve never wanted to see something that I originally didn’t want to see so bad!

Interesting. I did not see anything like that? I will try ‘resetting’ jabber
and logging in again.

I tested through Customer Connection Program and that "feature" was definitely
annoying. Basically, first time login prompts for your email address to send
you info on how to download the mobile apps. Not sure if anything got updated
in parameters guide to disable that behavior.

Not sure I like this. Will have to see behaviour.
