Good insight! Thank you. I am thinking Educuase. I was a member of ACUTA until they dissolved. They have a group attending Educause this year in October in Chicago. Plus there are other sessions I may be interested in there. I found it applicable to either what I do or what we do here on campus last time I attended.

Thinking about it. But, like you say, it’s not as nuts and bolts as Cisco live. I like being able to bring stuff back and apply (almost) immediately. Or at least plan for it. Some of the stuff at the other conferences is more strategic and takes years of planning and decision making at a level or two above me. I mean, yeah, it’s great to go and be able to recommend changes like that, but they’re already being attended by management teams. I remember one session that really stuck out – “How we replaced all call centers on campus with just one number for help”. I mean, wow, that’s great. But really a strategic decision beyond me. --- Lelio Fulgenzi, B.A. | Senior Analyst Computing and Communications Services | University of Guelph Room 037 Animal Science & Nutrition Bldg | 50 Stone Rd E | Guelph, ON | N1G 2W1 519-824-4120 Ext. 56354 | le...@uoguelph.ca<mailto:le...@uoguelph.ca> www.uoguelph.ca/ccs<http://www.uoguelph.ca/ccs> | @UofGCCS on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook [University of Guelph Cornerstone with Improve Life tagline] From: Scott Voll <svoll.v...@gmail.com<mailto:svoll.v...@gmail.com>> Sent: Thursday, May 30, 2019 4:06 PM To: Lisa Notarianni <lisa.notaria...@scranton.edu<mailto:lisa.notaria...@scranton.edu>>; Lelio Fulgenzi <le...@uoguelph.ca<mailto:le...@uoguelph.ca>> Cc: cisco-voip@puck.nether.net<mailto:cisco-voip@puck.nether.net> Subject: Re: [cisco-voip] Conferences If your looking for nuts and bolts for Cisco voice (UC), I'm still going to say Cisco Live. It used to be CIPTUG but that is long since gone. The road map sessions are good and the Expo hall, talking to the vendors is good. Maybe you could do a SingleWire conference for Emergency Notification? Co-workers that have went to Enterprise connect say it's pretty high level rather than nuts and bolts. I personally have never went. Lelio I think has. Maybe he can shine some light on that. My colleague attended Enterprise Connect in March 2019 and said it was very good. Educause is highly attended as well. I’m trying to plan out what would be best for Voice services/emergency notification related to Higher Education preferably but not required. I’m not interested in Cisco Live. It’s pricey and revolves around networking. Planning for fiscal year June 2019 - May 2020.
