Two routers for $1500? or $1500 each?
Two token rings will help you as you move toward CCIE. You will be able to
play around with things like DLSw+ and such... it could be useful. You will
also want to have an Ethernet interface somewhere in your lab. Have you
considered new routers? The 1720's are relatively cheap and are modular... I
can sell you one for a really great price! :) They go for around $899 with
the base config (1 10/100 Ethernet, IOS with IP feature set). The thing has
2 WAN card slots, and the 1 Serial port card is pretty reasonble. The whole
thing ready for the lab would still be less that $1500 (each), and would
have a warranty.
