I agree with Brad. I work with two Unix guys that passed the CCNA just from
reading one book, and I'm not even sure they know what a router looks like.
In fact one guys tried to turn on RIP in our lab and couldn't figure out why
it wouldn't work. So I took a look at it and told him it would work much
better if he specified a network under the RIP process. I don't know about
some people, but I would have a problem working with someone who is
supposedly "Cisco certified", but couldn't accomplish a simple task like
turning on RIP. I'm just glad that these guys are working on Unix boxes and
not routers! On the other hand I work with a guy that has a great deal of
experience, but failed the test because he wasn't familiar with the question
format. It works both ways sometimes. The best way to overcome this is to
cover both areas so that you won't be left in the dark. Just my .02 cents!

Get my point? A co-worker just passed the test today using some practice
tests and a few study notes..I dont think he's ever even touched a router.
