My CCIE prep has begun, and is similar to yours in that I am using

Doyle
Caslow
Halabi
Oppenheimer

My study guides from the CCNP 1.0 track
oh, and a little known site called http://www.cisco.com

So far my lab consists of 2 x 4000, 1 x AS5200, 1 x 2900XL. I will be
adding some 2500s later this month with any luck. I have begun by
reading the Caslow book. I will read/work through it once, then start
again and go through it more thoroughly a second time.

I will read the other books when it's time to take a break from the
lab, and in particular when the sun is shining - you have to take
advantage of every opportunity when the sun comes out in an english
summer and get out of the house ;-)

I am fortunate in that my day job gives me ample hands on experience.
I estimate 6-9 months to complete.

Good luck everyone

Ben
