We have this network at a Data Centre. We are getting two 10 Mbps data
feeds from two different Catalyst switches of the Data Centre which ( the
w=switches) have HSRP running in between them. At my end in the network I
have a single Cat 6506 with two MSFC cards. To use the redundancy of these
two Data feeds, my Data Centre Network guy says, I need to have two
different Catalst switches or two seperate routers and the two drops
mentioned will be connected to these two routers and HSRP will be made to
run in between these two routers.
Is it possible foe me to run HSRP among the two MSFC cards of my Catalyst
6506.
Is there some other way of getting the HSRP redundancy without actually
having to use two different switches or routers.
Would appretiate ur help.
