My requirement is given below. Anybody has solution,
please reply.
I have a cisco router in my LAN. Also I have a
Satelite equipment connected to the LAN. ( directly to
ethernet switch.) Now what I need to define a Back UP
for the satellite LINK. The default gateway in all the
machines are the IP address of the satellite IDU so
that they are able to communicate to remote locations.
I have async/sync ports in CISCO. Is it possible to
configure in any manner in the CISCO router so that
when the satellite link fails, router activates the
dial back up.
( When the satellite link is down, the M/C won't ping
the IP address of Satellite IDU)
What my feeling is thru some static default routes in
the Cisco. can anybody suggest a solution for this??
