A much easier way is to request a bridge and use a dual ethernet router. You can then put your IP on the outside interface of the router. This way you don't need to request additional IP addresses (which they might charge for) and you won't have to pass through 2 routers.

FYI- Netopia is a pretty good router. That company is on top of things and they have an excellent website.
