I am going to take that exam on the 26 th of august. This exam is much build
on routing protocols like OSPF, BGP and EIGRP. Here is that I have studied
so far:
1) The exam objectives on the cisco page
2) There is a good explanation of the difference between the old ACRC and
BSCN on www.boson.com in pdf format
3) Advanced Cisco router configuration Study guide by Todd Lamle from Sybex
( I read the chapters about ospf,eigrp and BGP but I skip everything else in
it.
4)Advanced cisco router configuration Exam Notes by Todd Lamle from Sybex (I
do the same for that book as well)
5) ACRC student guide from a course that someone at my work took 3 years
ago. I read the routing protocol part and skip the rest
6) I am reading now ospf: Anatomy of an internet routing protocol by John.
T. Moy. It is an excellent book about the OSPF and goes into great details.
Moy is the author of the most RFCs that have been published of ospf.
7) I will read through the www.cisco.com about ospf,eigrp and bgp through
the next month.
8) I am waiting for following books to arrive:

I am looking for a book or article on the net about ospf over frame relay.
Moy do not take that in as much details as I like to but maybe some of the
above books that I am ordering will dig deeper into it.

Hi Guys/Gals,
I am going for an Exam for BCSN on 15th August I know there is not a time
left but I guess I have to try and find out how I go with the exam. Can
anyone out there tell me who has already gone for the same exam how many
questions are there in the exam and what is the passing score. further more
what are the best books to prepare for the Exam before I go for the exam
and what are the key topics I should really focus on.
Any help will be highly regarded and maybe couple of lollies sent to the
