If the folloing error occurrs, %Error: This command applies only to DCE
interfaces. Just swap the cables or go to the other router and apply the
clock rate. It is the cable that defines which is DTE or DCE...

is applied to the interface.
But that doesn't mean that it's already made a DCE.
