Are you running ISL or dot.1Q. The reason I'm asking, it's because I have 
had a 4006 trunk to a 6509, and something is up w/4006 not working well 
w/ISL.  I have them trunking w/dot.1Q; and the problem went away. Doesn't 
trunk well.
It worked for me...let me know..
