Pull the FLASH out, let
it boot from the ROM's, review & change your configs (change the config
register so it will reboot in ROM mode), install the FLASH again (with the
router powered down), then Copy TFTP FLASH your image (make sure the image is
good- FIRST), & finally change the Config-register back to the 0x2102
(the normal boot & load sequence)... You may have to modify things a
little, but this routine always cures the software induced hardware
hang-up's
