Depends upon the chat server. Some Web enabled chat clients are java
scripts that need to connect to a port other then port 80 on the remote.
Other chat installations are pure web based using forms and automated page
updates.
What constitues web traffic is anything going out on TCP port 80 and maybe
443 depending opon your setup.
