Hi
You can not give different password for different telnet connection in
cisco routers. But at a time you can have 5 connection(0 to 4).

Thanks

Not really a different password on each port. The problem that creates, is
how do you know which VTY you are connecting to (especially since the
router
boots your connection after 3 failed passwords).

This would require each administrator to know all 5 passwords, since there
is no way to choose your vty line. Good idea, or bad idea? Surely doesn't
distinguish between admins.

Subject: telnet connection!!

HI all.
I have a question.
How many passwords can the router accept?
Only one or many?
Can several administrators have telnet connection to a
router with several different passwords?
I know that one router can have up to 5 vty ports
(line vty 0 4).
Can I say that each port can be setup with its own
password, so that these 5 ports can be setup with 5
different passwords?

I will appreciate your help.
