This is very rare problem. I faced the same problem in one case.
Finally i found that their is some problem in the cable.
may be Change in impedance. Then I checked with spare pairs then its
srarts working. Try to Check with Differet pairs.
Similarly one more case
In a radio Link, Both Serial,Line Protocol but it is not working.
Finally I found that (after three days R&D) their is some problem in
the power adapter(ie Voltage Variation). Finally I cahnged that. Its
start working .
I hope u may have the same problem
