Humm... tough one.

My $0.02...

The hardest from a self study stand point, switching and routing.

I haven't taken the switching 2 test, but I did do the old one, and unless you are lucky enough to get your hands on a Cat 5x00 switch it is hard. I was lucky a member of the list had a little "kitty" on the net when I really needed a Cat 5K to play with (thanks Neal!).

As for routing... this one is tough unless you have the routers to play on or have them to work with. There is a lot of matrial to cover. I haven't taken this one yet, but I know I am not ready, I still have lots to learn on OSPF and BGP, and I have been this stuff for years!

The dial test was quite easy, I used a single router with a modem hanging off it. Very straight forward. Is was lucky a friend has a ISDN modem to his work.

The troubleshooting test was pretty easy after working so long on the other tests. You will find that as you try to get the things to work for the other three tests you will know all about trouble shooting ;-)

Of the four CCNP exams (Routing, Switching, Remote Access, and Support), which is the most difficult to prepare for from a self-study point of view?
