Greetings, a bit of confusion I'd like cleared up:

ICND [Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices] has this to say:

Chapter 10 [Configuring Novell IPX]; page 330:

"Cisco's routers offer the following features in Novell network
environments:
        * blah-blah
        * blah-blah, Network Control Protocol (NCP), blah blah
        * blah
        * et cetera..."

Chapter 10 page 331:

"Novell NetWare uses its own proprietary
        * blah blah
        * blah
        * NetWare Core Protocol (NCP) to provide client-to-server
connections and
          application-level services.
        * blah-blah"

So - is this just an unfortunate example of Acronym ReUse?

Or are the two NCP's in fact the same thing with a different name?

If so, are both names equally correct?

If not, which is correct?

TIA,

                       "eschew obfuscation"
