All right, guys and gals!!!!! This marks the return ( in a small way ) of
Chuck's Friday Follies
I have a bit of a puzzle for you all. If you all have some fun, and think
this might be worth pursuing, I can try to continue the Follies on some
regular basis.
A bit about courtesy and fair play, before we begin. I am opening my study
lab to the internet, in a small way at first. But if things work out, then
perhaps this can be one more means of study for many of you. So play nicely,
please. Help me to help you.
OK, the puzzle.
You will telnet into a router. The IP address is 64.220.150.9 Your password
is "yahoudi" ( no quotes )
Your mission is to answer the following questions:
1) what version of IOS is running?
2) What is the name of the IOS image?
3) What routing protocols are running?
4) Are there any other routers connected? If so, on what ports?
5) If there are other routers connected, what IOS versions are they running?
What are the names of the flash images on those routers, if there are
routers?
6) Provide every detail you can about any WAN protocols running
7) What is the privilege level password?
8) What model number router are you telneted into?
9) What model number routers are connected, if there are any connected?
10) Who played the Cisco Kid? ( extra credit - how did you find that
answer? )
11) Extra Extra credit - identify all security enabled on the router
I have no prizes to offer. But I do have the sincere hope that you all will
have some fun taking a peek and finding the answers to these questions
I look forward to seeing your answers and your discussion Friday evening,
when I return from a day of what most likely will be unpleasant meetings.
