Multiple origin AS (MOAS). Basically happens when a single prefix is announced via two distinct ASes (origin-AS, not transit-AS - so the last ASN in the BGP path attribute). You're talking about "show ip bgp inconsistent-as", correct? It appears that it also lists BGP paths with incomplete origin codes. I don't know why it would do this, since I believe the command should output MOAS conditions only. The NANOG presentation below covers MOAS in-depth. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1835/products_command_refe rence_chapter09186a00800ca79e.html#1022663 http://www.nanog.org/mtg-0110/lixia.html -dre Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=66872&t=66835 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
