Hi there, I don't think Cisco will release a new product and state that this product will reach end-of-sales status in x years. My experience tells me that you can go ahead to buy your new switches without worrying about when Cisco will stop supporting it.
I think we are all familiar with the old 2501 routers and even these routers are still supported. What I'm trying to say is that you have bigger things to worry about than support.
