I can ping from router 2500 to 88.1.77.1 even if I disable proxy-arp of 2611's s1/0. There isn't any dynamic or static routing except a default route on 3550 to 2611. I can't understand this. Does I misunderstand the function of proxy-arp ? another related question, what's the real function of proxy-arp on serial interface ? thanks!
