That's nice of you to want to share your hardware... You can use a terminal server like an AS2509 (8 async. ports) or AS2511 (16 async. ports).
You have the right idea - a person will telnet into the terminal server and from there do a reverse telnet to the equipment that is connected on the async. ports. The async. ports will be connected to the console ports of your 2501s and switch. Sounds complicated but really is quite simple.
